Hello, I have created repo for my website. I edit it on my PC and then upload to the server, where I have a copy of repo. Everything was ok, but suddenly when I downloaded the copy on my PC and edited one of file I got an error: "error: bad index file sha1 signature fatal: index file corrupt". I've deleted .git/index but it didnt help. How can I fix it? Why did it happen?

What do you mean about fresh copy? When I write git checkout "old_version_hash" I get error: bad index file sha1 signature fatal: index file corrupt or error: inflate: data stream error (invalid literal/lengths set) fatal: loose object 437a71df606e7c419fdece3b2627fcb83d26aeca (stored in .git/objects/43/7a71df606e7c419fdece3b2627fcb83d26aeca) I can't create any branch. I don't want to lose my log.
