Why cannot I not add my new project to our git repository? I created a folder on our server named UniqueFolders.git.

Picture is way too small to be readable. However the error "Invalid URI: The URI scheme is not valid" is normally because there are characters that must be URL-encoded (e.g. quotes, carriage returns, non-ASCII, etc.). See if you have any of those and go get them encoded (if they really have to be there). Normally it's best to keep the folder/directory and file names "simple" to avoid this type of issue.
