git error: cannot obtain needed object fetch failed

I'm trying to clone a git repo from my remote machine using GIT CLONE [url]HTTPS://10.2.80.235/HTDOCS/ABC.GIT[/url] it always returns me error like unable to find xyz object under repo. cannot obtain needed object. does anyone know how to fix it?
